And then I located the Spy Hawk RC LT-711 RC helicopter. When I bought this, I thought the built in digital camera with mini-SD card that can be activated through remote was a genius thought. It was a sleek seeking helicopter with a camera, lights, and the cost was wonderful. It looked too fantastic to be correct...and it was. 1) The instruction manual is the worst one I have ever noticed...EVER. It was written in broken English and is riddled with grammatical errors and other statements that just make no sense. I definitely appreciate this helicopter except it's really tricky to control and because it's hard to control it flies into walls. The propellers broke in three several places considering it crashed into the wall. I did read the directions and they had been semi-simple to have an understanding of but not wonderful. It looks scale with its flat olive drab finish, it has panelling and rivet facts, and honestly great looking lights that give it a scale look when flying in a semi-dark space. It has a tiny alot more inertia than the small helicopters (the ones that fit in your hand), but is just as stable - if not even more stable. In common, the bigger a scale model aircraft is, the extra stable its flight characteristics. I have bought numerous R/C kits from the division stores since I wanted to show my kids how to fly airplanes with no spending hundreds of dollars. Sadly, they all had been underpowered and crashed. Somehow I managed to crash and snap off the tabs that pin into the rotor blade assembly. I didn't actually need to have the complete shaft but this had the element. I was in a position to loosen the screws (which were included, unlike the preceding post) and swap the black piece onto the existing shaft attached to my chopper. It took a minute or two to get almost everything back but then we had been flying once again!

It functions. And it's a decent match for the original Syma 107g. I found it far more intuitive to transfer the replacement head to my original shaft (with its intact drive gear) to replace the broken blade axles. I don't know how tough it would have been to get rid of the gear - I assume it would not be simple.

I bought this chopper--battery went bad soon after 2 days---replaced it with an extra I had out of a distinctive chopper--then the little gears broke apart. Guess what? You can't get components for it. Don't acquire this piece of junk! Purchase a SYMA machine--parts are readily offered.

I fly a SYMA S107, which is a fine bird but mostly produced of metal (thin sheet aluminum) which is good and negative. Metal, even aluminum, is strong but heavy. My friend Skillet flies the V268 and, in my opinion, the V268 is the better aircraft. While it is slightly smaller sized than the S107 in general length and rotor span, it exhibits greater flight characteristics, mainly far better climb rate and longer flight duration. I attribute this to the lighter weight due to all plastic construction and bigger principal gear permitting higher torque lower RPM. We have both crashed our birds several instances and my landing gear is shot whilst his is going sturdy. His canopy has popped off in crashes, but a tiny crazy glue took care of that. For the cash, this is the perfect 3 channel helicopter I've noticed.
