Consumer Critiques
This factor is rock solid stable and effortless to fly. Take it out of the box, charge it, and you happen to be prepared to go. It is stable adequate that you can stop it at a hover and let go of the controls and it will remain there (inside or outside no wind of course).
I give it a "I like it" on educational value since issues like this are terrific for producing hand eye coordination.
As far as durability, it really is great for what it is. If you land it tough or smack it in to something probabilities are you will break something. That is just due to the weight/momentum of it. The fine point is components are readily accessible and not expensive. I do recommend one particular of the micro sized ones to practice with at 1st. They are so light you can bounce them off the wall, ceiling, floor a number of times with no breaking them.
Overall it is a outstanding RC heli, especially for the cost.
I ordered a single of these from Xheli prior to checking it out here. I paid $39.95 but they also charged me $22 for shipping. Next time I will check right here 1st. I have a Double Horse 9053 that is rather similar to this one. I had to reverse the lower blades and add weight to the front finish to get it to fly properly and I am sure that I will have to do that to this 1. If you go to YouTube you will find a few videos on adjustments that you can make to these helicopters. You do not have to eliminate the outer shaft to reverse the lower blades, like some videos show. When you take away the inner shaft, you can get rid of the plastic cap from the best of the outer shaft and take the lower blades off to reverse them. I added components to the tail rotor, but that did not help to get the helicopter to fly forward. I lastly attached a broken 1/two drill bit to the front of the skids up against the braces and it now flys perfectly. The bit weighs less than 3 ounces and you can experiment with your personal weight. You could try numerous bolts that are slightly wider than the skids. The little bit of weight that I added did not hinder the operation of the helicopter. I do have a commercial helicopter rating, but these do not fly something like a genuine helicopter. If you can afford it, you would be smart to get a good helicopter simulator to practice on. I have a RealFlight and that has helped me a lot. But, it did take me awhile to get made use of to not essentially being in the front seat when creating turns, simply because you do have to simulate that you are in the front seat when deciding which way to turn. These are a lot of entertaining and quit durable, but you will break components. The perfect place to get components is Amazon or Ebay. Very good Luck.
Received my 9101 these days. I have not had a chance to fly it but, but it is larger than my 9053. it is slightly additional than an inch longer and higher than the 9053. The canopy is greater than the 9053 and I think that you will not be able to reverse the lower blades to get a lot more clearance like you can on the 9053. The most important blades are the very same on each helicopters, but the tail rotors are diverse and not interchangeable. A large number of of the components look the exact same, but I can not be certain they are until I have to make repairs. I will report back if I get any challenges with this helicopter.
I purchased another 1 of these from Amazon for $39.95 and got cost-free shipping and I got it in 3 days. I flew both of mine now and they had been significantly less complicated to manage than my 9053. I did have a particularly slight wind, but these are not meant to fly in windy circumstances. These do have the similar trouble as the 9053 helicopters. They do not want to fly forward. I attached a two ounce drill bit to the front of the skids and it will now go forward quite nicely. You could experiment utilizing several size 5" bolts and see what operates preferred for you. I am nicely happy with these helicopters.
